Responsibilities

Maintain compliance with all baggage handling safety procedures and PPE requirements
Identify and segregate transfer and special handling baggage according to operational requirements
Assist in the safe and timely unloading of baggage from Containers and Baggage Trolleys to conveyer belt system
Report any damaged baggage, equipment defects or operational irregularities to supervisor immediately
Perform Scan-Look-Load (SLL) procedures for airlines operating on Baggage Reconciliation System (BRS) or Manual Assisted Scanning Technology (MAST) to ensure baggage is accurately reconciled prior to loading.

Requirements

Able to work weekends and public holidays would be advantageous
Physically fit and able to perform manual lifting of heavy loads and repetitive handling tasks
Able to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work under time-sensitive operational conditions
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Prior experience in baggage handling or ground operations will be an advantage (training will be provided)
