  • Work collaboratively with veterinary nurses, keepers, and veterinarians to deliver high-quality clinical and patient care Engage actively with veterinary students to provide clinical training, mentorship, and practical guidance
  • Assist the wider veterinary team in executing comprehensive preventive medicine programs, including quarantine protocols, routine exams, vaccinations, and geriatric care.
  • Perform basic gross necropsies with diagnostic sampling, prepare accurate clinical and necropsy records, and fulfill other operational duties as requested.
  • Participate in dialogues with curators and supervisors regarding animal welfare, nutrition, and husbandry, and collaborate on clinical cases as needed.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and medical specialists/consultants on clinical cases as needed

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of general practice and 6 months of relevant zoological veterinary experience (preferrable) Fundamental knowledge of zoological veterinary medicine with the ability to perform basic diagnoses, nutritional analyses, treatments.
  • Ability to manage routine clinical cases independently while demonstrating the self-awareness and professional judgment to seek second opinions from senior staff when problems or conditions exceed your individual expertise.
  • Must demonstrate initiative, a strong interest in wildlife conservation, and excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Able to work effectively in a multi-cultural team environment, including weekends, holidays, occasional after-hour assignments, and across multiple locations.
